Every March since 2000 the Streets of Gatton come alive with the sounds of “Roaring Engines” and “Screaming Tyres”, much to the applause and cheering from the thousands of spectators over the two-day Festival.
In past years the event attracted hundreds of race cars who would propel themselves around the Closed Street Circuit in a “Race Against the Clock”, and the others who they were competing against.
On the Saturday night the streets came alive with sights and sounds of “Burning Rubber” as some of the best in the country did battle to become the Burnout Champion of the Gatton Event.
In amongst the Heats of Competitors we would have a Team of Professional Drifting Experts put on a display of unbelievable car control and skill.
These two categories were the major draw cards for the event and have now revolutionised this date into a completely new MOTORFEST EVENT.
Gatton MOTORFEST is now a Two-Day Spectacular where the “Best of the Best” in both Categories will come to do battle at the only legal street event for them in Australia.
These two iconic motoring styles are at the peak of their popularity and the crowds are flocking to every event.
The Burnouts will be a Competition based event with a “HUGE PRIZE POOL”, guaranteeing the “Best in Australia” with their 1000 plus Horsepower, tyre shredding monsters will be coming to the Streets of Gatton in March.
Add to that the only “Street Matsuri Drift Event” in Australia, where the finest Professional and Accredited Drift Teams will come to “Skid the streets of Gatton”.
This event has already attracted interest from Drivers and Teams from the home of Drifting in Japan and other International Drivers.
MOTORFEST will have spectators in their thousands coming from Australia wide, so much so that our recent press release and information packages have already seen local accommodation being highly sort after and booked which is having a huge effect on the local businesses.
The event will be recorded by a Professional Television Crew for a future video production and a “Big Screen” will be onsite showing live action as well as being used to promote the Business Partners for the event.
Three professional and well-known sporting announcers have been employed to bring the action to the crowd both live on track and with the post production highlight package to be completed after the event.
We are also in negotiations to put the event “Live to Air” via the internet to those who can’t make it to the event both here in Australia and Worldwide.
Our Event Partners will share in the success of the “Milestone Occasion” as this has never been done in Australia before and will again put both Gatton: Queensland and Australia on Centre Stage Worldwide.
